Dr. Gregg Lucksinger, MD

Dr. Lucksinger attended the University of Texas at Austin where he received a B.A. in one of his favorite disciplines (biology). After graduation he attended The University of Texas Medical School at San Antonio before returning to Austin to complete a residency in Family Medicine in 1992. Later that year he opened a practice just a block away from the U.T. Austin Campus. In addition to practicing both inpatient and outpatient Family Medicine he has also pursued interests in medical informatics and pharmaceutical research. Over the years he has been able to work in a variety of interesting medical environments including Alaska, rural Mexico and West Africa. It was during these travels, particularly in Africa, where he was struck by the relative absence of chronic western diseases such as allergies, asthma, diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis and depression. Dr. Lucksinger has a wide range of medical interests including nutrition, exercise, stress reduction and environmental modification to prevent and treat illness and improve quality of life. Dr. Lucksinger enjoys working with a wide range of patients who are motivated to use lifestyle modifications along with other options to manage their health proactively.
