Kayla McElhany, RN, MSN, FNP-C

Kayla is a board-certified family nurse practitioner. She initially graduated from The George Washington University with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science in 2012. During this time, she was a student-athlete. After graduation she choose to become a nurse and graduated from Texas Tech with a Bachelor in Nursing in 2013. She began her nursing career as a bedside nurse in a critical care setting. Kayla was inspired to further her education and become a Nurse Practitioner through her experiences as a nurse. She wanted to focus on health promotion and preventing chronic disease as a provider.

In 2017, Kayla graduated from The George Washington University with a Masters in Science as a Family Nurse Practitioner. After graduation, Kayla worked for almost three years in a walk in, convenient care clinic helping to treat illnesses and provide preventative care services for patients of all ages. She is thankful for this experience and is now looking forward to working at Westlake Medical Arts working to promote health and wellness.
